Before the State Office Building could be constructed, the 8-story Ft. Frederick apartment building had to be moved from the site a distance of 350 feet. This program will show pictures of the move, which proceeded at about 7 feet per day. Occupants slept in the apartments at night. The program will be presented by Albany City Historian, Tony Opalka, and Albany architect Harris Sanders, originator of Albany's Nipper statue.
