Citizens Climate Lobby presents Mark Lowery, of NYSDEC's office of climate change. Mr. Lowery's presentation will explore the history of climate change, how we got to where we are , and where we may be headed in the future with a focus on New York State. Mark Lowery has been a climate policy analyst in the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Office of Climate Change since the inception of the office over 20 years ago. He has been involved with the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, Sea Level Rise Task Force and climate action planning, and he provided support for the NYS 2100 Commission. He oversees the Climate Smart Communities program and coordinates implementation of the Community Risk and Resiliency Act, including drafting the state’s sea-level rise projection regulation.
