The Judaic Studies Program and the Department of History at the University at Albany and the Colonie Jewish Community Association will be hosting a lecture by Dr. Daniel Grossberg, Professor Emeritus at UAlbany, titled Genesis Confronts Paganism. The lecture is free and open to the public with light refreshments before the lecture. He authored a monograph on biblical poetry for the Society of Biblical Literature, a Commentary on Lamentations for the Oxford Jewish Study Bible, and numerous studies for professional Journals. Grossberg also served as a visiting Scholar at the Oxford Center for Post Graduate Hebrew Studies in Oxford, England and was an invited international presenter at Limmud UK.
