This presentation is designed for parents and teachers who wish to quickly bring their students, learning different or general education students, reading and writing skills to well beyond grade level. During this presentation we will discuss how to help your student to select a book that they are interested in, how to develop deep reading compensation skills, and how to write a paper were their teacher/professor will actually learn something new. Appropriate for anyone in Grade 10 through graduate school/adults.

Presented by Russell Van Brocklin. Russell combined the brain research in Overcoming Dyslexia by Sally Shaywitz with the three default writing strategies in Strategies for Struggling Writers by James Collins while in graduate school.  As a result, his initial research program  was funded by the New York State Senate and is owned by the SUNY Research foundation.  He found that motivated high school students with dyslexia increased their writing skills  7-8 grade levels in one academic year. Russell presented at The Everyone Reading Conference in Manhattan from 2014-2019.
